Sir Joseph Ari was born on the 21st of December, 1960. He is a holder of the West African School Certificate, Diploma in Broadcast Journalism, Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism and Post Graduate Diploma in Management. He also holds a degree in Law (LL B (Hons.), a Masters Degree in Law LLM, and Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA). His working career spans a period of over two decades,
covering different spheres of disciplines and human endeavour.

The Industrial Training Fund Staff School was established in September 1992 by the then Management of Industrial Training Fund.
VISIONTo hatch a pool of well-groomed children in the areas of cognitive, psychomotor and Affective Domains that can compete favorably with any Student from any School across Nigeria and the world at large.
MISSIONTo serve as a model school in the area of providing qualitative education through the use of a crop of very well motivated and inspired Staff in a conducive environment for learning stocked with modern learning facilities and equipment on the Plateau.
OBJECTIVESThe Objectives of establishing the School were as follows:- To support or Compliment the efforts of Federal Government of Nigeria, in providing qualitative and affordable education to Nigerian Citizens so as to develop a self reliant economy. It was established as a welfare package for Staff of Industrial Training Fund.
It was also established as a social Service to the immediate Community within which Industrial Training Fund operates.
MOTIVATION OF STAFFMembers of staff of the school are well motivated and inspired compared to other schools in Nigeria as all matters concerning their welfare are taken care of promptly, reasonably and adequately so as to get the best from them. In spite of all the afore mentioned facilities and special services available in the School, the fees charged in the school are still the lowest compared to the renowned Private schools spread all over the Country.
